How to claim
- Send the Member Verification Form by mail to NCUA's Asset Management and Assistance Center (Liquidating Agent, Austin, TX) or by email to amacmail@ncua.gov.
- Shares claimed within 18 months of the liquidation are paid in full. After that they may be paid pro rata, depending on the funds available.
- Claiming is free. Nobody needs to charge you a fee to file.
Scam warnings
- Unclaimed-property offices say they do not contact people directly about unclaimed property.
- Never pay anyone, buy a gift card or send crypto to claim property. Claiming is free.
- If someone who contacted you asks for your SSN, bank login or card details, stop.
